My 3 Words for 2016

No I’m not back. But I certainly can’t miss doing “My 3 Words.”

Since 2013 I’ve been picking 3 words as my themes for the year.

In 2013, my words were: Hungry, Focused, and Breakout.

In 2014, my words were: Balance, Growth, and Love.

In 2015, my words were: Urgency, Focused, and Outbound, which I later replaced with: Expanded, Diligent, and Outbound.

I seem to have some recurring themes here. For one, I seem to always come back to focused. The reason for this is probably due to the never-ending stream of ideas that distract me from my core objectives.

Beyond that, it seems every year is the year I’m hoping to “make it.” So, here’s to a bright 2016. Let’s hope this is the year.

For 2016, I have 3 new words. Here it goes…

Production

This year, my team and I will produce more content than ever before.

I want to finally capitalize on my dream of generating passive income streams. In order to do this, I must produce the content to sell. And while I typically produce a high volume of content, this will be a very specific set of outputs.

Additionally, I’m moving my company into a mode where we are able to produce more content for our clients.

Control

I have control problem. I try to do everything myself because I don’t trust anyone to do things as well as me, or as quickly as me. The problem is, that’s not true, and I’m running out of time.

Great leaders are able to trust their team and let them grow. I’m getting in the way. I need to relinquish some control.

No!

I say yes far too much. It’s time to say no to more projects. I hate saying no, but saying yes is starting to take its toll on me.

How about you?

Resolutions are so OUT. Themes are so IN. What are your three words?
